About True Signal

I founded True Signal to close the gap between life science research and the decisions that research is supposed to inform. Valuable biological data goes underused all the time — rarely for lack of ambition, usually for lack of someone who can take it the last mile. That last mile is the work.

I hold a PhD in immunology and infectious disease from the University of Copenhagen, taken as an industrial PhD inside LEO Pharma, so the work has been close to industry from the start. I cover the full data lifecycle: experimental design, data generation, processing, analysis and visualisation. My domain experience spans immunology, oncology, infectious disease, dermatology, vaccine research and food science. I am based in Copenhagen and collaborate with clients and domain experts globally.

What that looks like in practice

A typical engagement starts with a conversation about the decision you are trying to make. From there it might be a two-week design review before you spend money on sequencing, a full analysis of data you already hold, or rebuilding a pipeline that has quietly stopped being reproducible. I am equally comfortable being the only data person on a project and being one specialist inside a larger team.

Recent work has run from single-cell and spatial analysis through to putting language models to work on scientific data — retrieval over internal literature, and agent-based workflows that make single-cell results interpretable to people who do not read UMAPs.
